FUTMINNA Students Arrested For Cultism

Two students of FUTMINNA have been arrested for cult related activities.

The duo, a 500- level computer science student and another 200- level student were said to belong to the Neo-Black Movement (NBM) a.k.a Black Axe.

The two students were arrested alongside 8 other suspects following a tip-off as they were planning an initiation.

At the point of arrest the police recovered two locally made pistols, three live ammunition 9mm caliber, three axes and three pairs of fraternity uniforms.

According to the 500-level student, who claimed to be the leader of the gang, said he was initiated four years ago to fight injustice and oppression in FUT, Minna and also to get connected. He however, regretted his involvement with cultism.

When asked what advice he would give to students, this is what he
said, “I don’t advise even my enemy to belong to this gang because there is nothing to gain from it. I personally am regretting now. Cultism is not good.”
