UNIMAID 2017 Post-UTME/DE: Cut-off Mark, Screening And Registration Update

We are happy to notify all candidates who applied for admission into degree programmes of the University of Maiduguri for the 2017/2018 Academic Session and have scored 160 and above in the UTME, and a minimum of Credit in Diploma, 10 points in NCE/IJMB or Second Class Lower Division from a recognized institution for DE that there will be online screening for admission.

Candidates should visit the University of Maiduguri website: http/unimaidonline.net and register for the online screening exercise. Candidates are to pay the sum of Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira (2,500) only for the registration including bank charges.

University Of Maiduguri 2015 Post-UTME Canceled

This is to inform the general public that and candidates who applied to the University of Maiduguri(UNIMAID) will not have to sit for the post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination(UTME) to be considered for admissions.

Speaking withDaily Trust, the institution's Vice Chancellor, ProfessorIbrahim Njodi, said the selection process will be done without further tests.

"For this year’s admission, we are not conducting post UTME," Njodi said.

"We will select students using the same criteria we used last year."

We are to inform all staffs, students and Parent/Guardians that the University of Maiduguri will re-open for its Second Semester 2014/2015 Session on Monday, 2nd March 2015 as contained in the University’s Calendar of events.

UNIMAID Student Allegedly Murdered by Military Man in Maiduguri

A graduate of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), Mohammed Sulum, was allegedly shot and killed by a military man last Wednesday in Maiduguri, Borno State.

The 22-year-old graduate of Physics was said to have given the soldier a lift in his car but the officer shot him before he could reach his destination and stole his car.

The father of the deceased, Konto Sulum, who narrated the incidence said: “The soldier who shot my son thought he was dead as he dragged his corpse out of the car and zoomed off. But then Mohammed struggled to crawl to the roadside near Asita Hotel in Bolori Ward where a good Samaritan called the attention of civilian Joint Task Force and they tried to rush him to the hospital but he died before reaching the hospital”.

UNIMAID Final Year Students Arrested for Car Theft

Mari Paul Dirkwa, A final year student of Business Education at the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) was recently arrested in Maiduguri for car stealing.

The 29-year –old suspect according to the Borno Police Commissioner, Mr. Clement Adoda, was arrested on the 28th of September following a tip off.

Mari who was said to have stolen 6 cars was caught while trying to steal another car.

In his confession Mari, said he was pushed by greed.

“It was selfishness and greed. Each time I stole a car and sold it, I got a lot of money and I felt like stealing another car again,"

"It is greed and I regret my action.

UNIMAID Releases 2013/2014 Diploma Programme Admission List

This is to inform all applicants that the Diploma Programme admission list of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) has been released for 2013/2014 session.
