2016/2017 BSU Admission Screening Registration Update

This is to inform the general publis that the management of Benue State University has announced admission screening exercise for 2016/2017 academic session.

A. Eligibility
Candidates who selected Benue State University, Makurdi as first choice in the 2016/2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored 180 marks and above are invited for the screening exercise.

i. Check for your admission on the Benue State University Portal by clicking here and print details on payment of N400 at the designated banks;
ii. Proceed to pay the acceptance fee of Twenty Two thousand naira (N22,000) non-refundable to Benue State University, Makurdi at the designated banks and print your admission letter;
iii. Candidates who had earlier paid acceptance fee of Five thousand, Five hundred naira (N5,500) only should pay an additional sum of Sixteen Thousand, Five Hundred naira (N16,500) to make up the Twenty Two thousand naira (N22,000) only to enable them

BSU 2015/2016 Approved Academic Calendar

2. Monday, 18th April, 2016 - Friday, 22nd April, 2016: Registration for Returning Students (1 Week)

3. Monday, 25th April, 2016 - Friday, 29th April, 2016: Late Registration/Lectures (1 Week)

4. Monday, 2nd May, 2016 - Wednesday, 29th June, 2016: LECTURES (8.2 Weeks)

BSU 2015/2016 Screening/Registration Procedure For Newly Admitted Candidates

Current and latest news reaching us reviews that the screening/registration procedure for all newly admitted students of Benue State University (BSU) has been made available.
1. In order to enable you settle down quickly, you are requested to strictly adhere to the following steps in the screening and registration process:-


i. Check for your admission on the Benue State University Portal and print details on payment of N400 at the designated banks;

ii. Proceed to pay the processing fee of N5,500 non-refundable to Benue State University at the designated banks and print your admission letter;

iii. Complete the screening form On-line, print and sign. Your screening status will be communicated to you in the remarks column on the form;

iv. Proceed to Academic Office for documentation;

vi. Proceed to the designated banks and pay the approved fees using your UTME or DE registration number as user ID and PASSWORD. This also applies to successful preliminary French, Science and Vocation and

BSU POST UTME UPDATE - We are to inform all concerned candidates who participated in the 2015 post-UTME screening exercise of the Benue Sate University that the result of the Post UTME Screening Exercise has been released.

This is to inform newly admitted students of Benue State University Markurdi that 2014/2015 registration has since commenced on 8th December, 2014.

All admitted Candidates who are yet to register are advised to to to the school with relevant documents for registration.

BSU Admission List, Registration and Resumption Date 2014/2015 Announced

The Management of the Benue State University, Makurdi has released the admission into 2014/2015 academic session.

Candidates who applied for admission into Benue State University, Makurdi for the 2014/2015 academic session are required to:

Proceed to the designated banks within Benue State and pay a non-refundable admission verification fee of N400 and obtain a receipt with a pin. The designated banks are; Fidelity Bank Plc, ECO Bank Plc, United Bank for Africa Plc, Unity Bank, Union Bank of Nigeria Plc, First Bank of Nigeria Plc and Zenith Bank Plc, Diamond Bank, Guaranty Trust Bank, Sterling Bank Plc and Skye Bank Plc.

Enter your JAMB Registration or application number and submit. Print details if successful.

Proceed to the designated Banks listed and pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of N5, 500 using JAMB registration or application number. Obtain a bank print out with a PIN.

Important information for newly admitted students

The 245th meeting of senate held on Thursday, 23rd October, 2014 approved Monday, 8th December, 2014 as the resumption date for fresh candidates admitted into various degree programmes of the university, while the resumption date for all categories of students has been approved for Monday, 5th January, 2015.

According to the senate approved calendar for 2014/2015 academic session, screening and registration would hold between Monday 8th and 19th December, 2014, while matriculation shall hold on Thursday, 22nd January, 2015.

Screening and registration would be on line, candidates are however, required to document in the Faculty and relevant Department and Units.

BSU Makurdi Resumption date is January 4th, 2013!

As a result of the ASUU strike that has been called off, institutions of learning have resumed or are about to resume for the continuation of academics.

Among the institutions, Benue State University, Makurdi is set to resume on the 4th of January, 2014.
