News As FUTMINNA Produces 34 First Class As 3,505 Graduate

Nigerianedu.com is to imform all that the Federal University of Technology (FUTMINNA) is set to graduate 3, 505 students in various classes for the 2014/2015 academic session at its 25th convocation ceremony on Saturday.

Report has it that this was revealed by the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Musbau Akanji, in a pre-convocation briefing.

“We shall be graduating a total of 3,505 students. Out of this, 2, 787 will be graduating with first degrees, 220 with Post Graduate Diplomas, 464 Masters and 34 Doctorate degrees.

FUTMINNA Withdraws 460 Students

The latest news reaching us has it that about 460 students of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State, (FUTMINNA) have been asked by management of the institution to withdraw due to poor performances in the just concluded academic session.

We gathered that the letters of withdrawal were served last Friday on the affected students who were said to be 100 level students that were not able to meet with the academic requirement stipulated by the NUC to move to the next level of their study which is Grade Point of 1.5.

Investigation shows that virtually all the faculties in the institution were affected by the withdrawal.

28 Students Of FUTMinna Has Been Withdraws Over Poor Academic Performance

This is to inform all concerned that the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna has withdrawn 28 students following their poor performance and absenteeism for two semester examinations.

2014/2015 Academic Session: FUTMINNA Matriculates 4,250 Students.

Thi is to inform you that the Federal University of Technology Minna recently matriculated 4,250 students admitted for the 2014/2015 academic session at the Gidan Kwano campus of the institution.

According to the Vice Chancellor, Prof Musbau Akanji, out of the 10, 000 that applied for admission for 2014/2015 session, 6,650 sat for the Post-UTME, 4,743 were offered admission and 4,250 students finally accepted the offer of admission.

FUTMINNA Extends 2014/2015 Online Registration Deadline

The management of the Federal University of Technology, Minna has approved the extension of online registration exercise from Sunday 4th January, 2015 to Sunday 25th January 2015.

This is to enable students (new and returning) interact with their Level Advisers on the appropriate courses to be registered.

Consequently, Level Advisers and students are encouraged to make good use of this opportunity.

FUTMINNA Online Registration: Document Upload for Admitted 2014/2015 Candidates

All successfully admitted students of FUTMinna whom have paid the acceptance fee can now upload their documents for clearance.

Candidates should visit the school's portal at:
eportal.futminna.edu.ng.
- Candidates would then login as existing users using the student ID and password.

_ When login successfully candidates can now click on the "Academic Records" link on their page.

- Candidates can now upload their documents (I.e birth certificate, first and second sitting results, jamb result slip, referee letter etc) on the academic record page and fill other records. Documents are to to be scanned.

FUTMINNA Students Arrested For Cultism

Two students of FUTMINNA have been arrested for cult related activities.

The duo, a 500- level computer science student and another 200- level student were said to belong to the Neo-Black Movement (NBM) a.k.a Black Axe.

The two students were arrested alongside 8 other suspects following a tip-off as they were planning an initiation.

At the point of arrest the police recovered two locally made pistols, three live ammunition 9mm caliber, three axes and three pairs of fraternity uniforms.

According to the 500-level student, who claimed to be the leader of the gang, said he was initiated four years ago to fight injustice and oppression in FUT, Minna and also to get connected. He however, regretted his involvement with cultism.
