OAU Orders Students Out Of Hostels, Announces New Resumption Date

Report reveals that the Senate of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, at its sitting today, Wednesday, 28th March, 2018, has endorsed the action, taken so far, by the University Management over the issue of students’ unauthorized occupation of the rooms in the halls of residence.

A release by the Public Relations Officer of the University, Mr. Abiodun Olarewaju, stated that the Professors, who frowned at the rate of moral decadence among the students, urged the Professor Eyitope Ogunbodede-led administration to use all lawful means to enforce obedience to the school rules and regulations, so that “our students will be found worthy in learning and character; therefore be qualified to obtain our degrees, certificates and diplomas.

OAU 2017 Post-UTME/DE: Cut-Off Mark, Screening And Registration

Latest news update as the candidates who made the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife their first choice in the 2017 UTME and scored 200 and above, and those who applied for Direct Entry (DE) are hereby informed to log on to Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife website (www.oauife.edu.ng) or admissions.oauife.edu.ng to register for the POST-UTME screening exercise effective from September 11, 2017. The candidates are required to click on “2017 ADMISSION SCREENING-UTME/DE APPLICANTS” link (or visit admissions.oauife.edu.ng directly) and login with their JAMB Registration Number to download RRR (Remita Retrieval Reference) and use it to make payment online or at any commercial bank.

OAU VC Says: We Are Not Taking Part In The ASUU Strike

Latest gist trending as the Vice Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile- Ife, Eyitope Ogunbodede, has disclosed that the lecturers in the school will not be joining the ongoing ASUU strike.

It is reported according to the vice-chancellor, the lecturers of the university have no interest in the strike and would thus continue with their academic activities.

Latest OAU news reveal in A statement which was purported to have emanated from the Public Relations Officer of Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-ife (OAU), Olanrewaju Abiodun has is that the institution in line with the Federal government's directive will not be conducting Post-UTME for candidates seeking admission into the institution this year.

OAU Management Indefinitely Shuts Down Of The Institution

This is to inform the general public that the authorities of Obafemi Awolowo University has shut down the school indefinitely following incessant protest by students.
However, the public Relations Officer of the institution has debunked that stating that the management only gave the students a mid-semester break.

But there are strong indications that the sudden break is the aftermath of the students' protest which has lasted for some days now.

The students have been protesting the poor living conditions, epileptic water and power supply.

NEWS: OAU Student Dies Mysteriously



Current news reaching us has it that An OAU student died yesterday under mysterious circumstances. It was gathered that the student known as Sunkanmi was seen staggering and was rushed to the school's health centre where he fainted. He was later transferred to OAUTH where he regained consciousness but kept struggling with unseen forces even with his hands and feet tied to the bed to keep him stable.

Lecturer Kidnapped By Unknown Gunmen- OAU

This is to inform you that Dr. Femi Omisore, a lecturer in Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) has been reported kidnapped by unknown gunmen last friday.
He was said to b on jis way to a burial ceremony in Oye-ekitiwhen he was attacked by the gunmen. It was learnt that the gfubnenj shot and killed his driver at the spot as the driver was said to have refused to stop when the gunmen ordered him to do so.
