We are thrilled to notify the general public and all candidates who applied for the HND/Post-HND programmes of The Polytechnic Ibadan for 2017/2018 academic session that they are invited for Oral Interview into HND/Post-HND Programmes on 26th & 27th October 2017 at 9am daily at their respective Departments. 

Candidates are to dress formal and come with the originals and photocopies of their credentials (O'level result, CBT result, 3 Passport photographs, Local Government Identity, ND result, IT Letter, Birth Certificate).

NOTE: This Interview is for Students who meet the Cut-Off Marks for their Departments ONLY.

Update As Management Of Ibadan Poly Has Shuts Down School After Students’ Protest

The Nigerianedu.com has it that the management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, has directed students of the institution to proceed on a two-week compulsory break with immediate effect .

According to MYNATION NEWS the directive is as a result of a massive protest embarked upon by students of the institution, which brought academic activities to a halt on Tuesday.

In a statement issued by the institution’s Registrar, Mr Hezekiah Fehintola in Ibadan on Tuesday, the directive became effective immediately and students should resume on March 13, 2016.

Poly Ibadan: Notice on 2014/2015 Post-UTME Screening Exercise

Please be informed that The Polytechnic Ibadan Computer Based Testing (CBT) for prospective National Diploma Students has been scheduled to start from 18th August 2014. All applicants are to Login to their account on the admission portal to get their new CBT Schedule Date/Time and to RE-PRINT their CBT SLIP.

GENERAL CBT INSTRUCTIONS
(i) JAMB/UTME Result Notification Slip and a copy of your POST-UTME CBT Print-out must be presented at the screening center.

(ii) GSM and other electronic devices except simple calculators are not allowed at the screening center.

(iii) Parents, Guardians and other unauthorized personnel will not be allowed at the screening centre during the Post-UTME screening exercise

(iv) Arrival to the venue is STRICTLY not earlier than 30 minutes before your scheduled time.

IBADAN POLY: A Suspected Cultist Arrested

 

The management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Oyo State said it arrested a suspected cultist on Monday. The suspect, whose name was given as Harry Okereke, was allegedly arrested at the school gate with a gun.

A statement by the institution’s Registrar, Hezekiah Fehintola, explained that the school authority believed that Okereke had a sinister motive for his visit to the school. He added that the 22-year-old was not only arrested by the school security operatives with a gun, he was also nabbed with live cartridges.

The statement read in part, “The 22-year-old suspect claimed to be from Delta State and a student of a higher institution in Ibadan. “He claimed to have visited Ibadan Poly to see a friend called Pumasi. Members of staff, students and the entire community in the school are hereby advised to be security conscious.”

IBADANPOLY Expels Six for Cult Activities

Six students of The Polytechnic Ibadan (IBADANPOLY) were said to have been expelled due to their involvement in cult activities on campus.

The students who were said to be members of a cult group recognized as the Buccaneers have appeared before the Students’ Disciplinary committee and were found to have engaged in activities capable of putting at risk the lives of both students and staff of the institution.
