News on BUK 2017/2018 Screening Date and Procedure for New Students

We are happy to notify all newly admitted undergraduate students that screening has now been postponed from 27th December 2017 to 2nd January 2018.

Candidates who are yet to confirm their admission status are advised to log on to JAMB CAPS to check if they have been admitted and ACCEPT their admission.

BUK 2017 Post-UTME: Cut-off Marks, Screening And Registration Update

This is to inform the general public that the management of Bayro University Kano has announced the Post-UTME screening exercise for 2017/2018 academic session.

Registration will commence on on Tuesday 5th September 2017.

2015/2016 BUK Mid Semester Break (1st Semester)

This is to inform all that the Senate of the Bayero University, Kano at its 339th meeting held on Wednesday, 17th February, 2016 approved 17th – 22nd April, 2016 as the date of the First Semester 2015/2016 academic session mid-semester break.

A letter signed by the Registrar, Fatima Binta Mohammed, said the University Management has declared the week of 17th – 22nd April, 2016 as Lecture-free week and wished the students a happy break.

2015/2016 Post-UTME - BUK To Admit 25% of Candidates

This is to inform all that the Vice Chancellor of Bayero University Kano, Prof. Muhammad Yahuza Bello, has disclosed that the institution will admit only 25% of admission seekers this year.

Bayero University Kano (BUK) will admit about twenty five per cent of this year’s post-UTME candidates seeking admission into the institution.

According to him, over 20,000 candidates out of the several thousands who have chosen BUK as their first choice scored the minimum 180 points in their JAMB UTME.

He further stated that all those who sat and passed the minimum PUTME points of 160 would be automatically admitted, but not necessarily the course of

2015/2016 BUK Direct Entry Screening Exercise Is Ongoing
