Information reaching us has it that Six students of Yaba College of Technology have been expelled for presenting fake or altered National Diploma (ND) and National Certificate of Education (NCE) results for admission.

News As YABATECH Suspends Academic Activities

Latest gist as the management of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) has declared four weeks break to mourn one of the students Miss Comfort Dazan, a final-year HND student who died in the early hours of Wednesday.

The management in a statement issued through the spokes man of the institution Mr Charles Oni has ordered students to vacate the campus with immediate effect to forestall further destruction of properties.

According to the statement, academic activities have been suspended for four weeks.

YABATECH Has Expels 73 For Result Forgery - Read Full Details

This is to inform you that 73 students of Yaba College of Technology have been expelled by the Academic Board of the institution for result forgery.

A statement issued in this regard and signed by the Deputy Registrar of the college, Mrs Titilayo Obadimu has it that the affected students who were those pursuing part-time programmes for National Diploma and Higher National Diploma were registered in the 2013/2014 academic session.

The case of result forgery was discovered the verification exercise of Senior Secondary School Certificates and National Diploma results.

YABATECH Notice On Medical Screening Exercise UPDATE

We are to inform all current full-time and part-time ND1 and HND1 students, who are yet to do their required Medical Screening Exercise, to report to the Medical Centre for the exercise.

The screening will swiftly commence on Monday, 2nd to Wednesday, 11th February, 2015, then Thursday, 5th to Friday, 20th March, 2015. The time of operation is 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday to Friday.

NOTE: there would be no extension after the deadline.

YABATECH- Embark On A 22-day Holiday As A Result Of Up Coming Elections.

We are to inform all full time and part-time students of Yaba College of Technology YABATECH that the authorities has given a 22-day holiday to all students of the institution.

YABATECH Wins NIPOGA Games for the Seventh Time

The Yaba College of Technology, YABATECH, has emerged winner of the 18th Nigeria Polytechnic Games, NIPOGA held in Bida, Niger State.

They achieved this feat by winning a total of 17 gold, 8 silver and 9 bronze medals.

This makes it the 7th time the school has won this competition and the only polytechnic that has achieved such.

The runners up are The Polytechnic Ibadan, Abia State Polytechnic and defending champion Lagos State Polytechnic respectively.
