NDU Suspension of Academic Activities Following ASUU Strike Update

We are to inform all students of the Niger Delta University that the all academic activities has been suspended indefinitely following the strike action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities NDU chapter.

The resumption of lectures will be announced when the strike is called off.

However, Pre-Degree and Basic programmes are not affected by this strike action.

NDU 2015/2016 JUPEB Admission Update

This is to let all concerned know that in collaboration with the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) , Niger Delta University is accepting applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the 2015/2016 Academic Session Pre-Degree Program.

This programme leads to the award of the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) Certificate. This certificate enables candidates to gain Direct Entry Admission into 200 LEVEL of the degrees offered by Niger Delta University or any other JUPEB affiliated Universities in Nigeria and abroad.

NDU Students Arrested For Possesion Of Illegal Arms

This to let you know that two students of Niger Dealt University were yesterday arrested by the operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Bayelsa State Command.

The said two suspects, Mr. Ambakaderemo Tamarakumo, 21; Zuokumo Preye, 20; were arrested in an auto mechanic in possession of four guns.

During interrogation, the two suspects confessed and admit being members of a cult group.

NDU Resumption Date 2014/2015 Announced.

According to the calendar released by the authorities of Niger Delta University, students are expected to resume 12th of January, 2015.

Registration will start immediately after resumption.

NDU Extends Closing Date for 2014/2015 Clearance Exercise

The management of Niger Delta University has extended the date for the clearance of newly admitted students 2014/2015 from 28th Nov 2014 to 05 DEC 2014.

Candidates are advised to make sure they are cleared before the deadline as there may be no more extension on the date.


Failure to do so before the specified date indicates that you have forfeited your admission.

NDU Announces 2013/2014 2nd Semester Resumption Date

This is to inform all students of the Niger Delta University that second 2013/2014 semester academic activities begins on the 14th of July 2014.

The school board has affirmed that there will be no delays on academic resumptions and lecture starts immediately on the scheduled week of resumption.
