LAUTECH Teaching Hospital workers block Ogbomoso-Ilorin Road in protest

The fresh gist as hundreds of commuters, passengers and other road users were on Friday stranded when workers of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso blocked the ever busy Ogbomoso-Ilorin Express Road.

According to report gathered the placard-carrying workers who sang various solidarity songs also wanted the government to pay the outstanding eleven months salaries comprising six months balance of last year and five months for the year 2017.

The latest LAUTECH news reaching us has it that Ladoke Akintola university Ogbomoso is under seige by the cloud of robbery that has been happening for the past two weeks without break.

The robbers who come in three, would barge into hostels, collect laptops, phones, fancy valuables and yet would threaten the occupants of each hostels to sleep with each other, while they watch.

LAUTECH 2015/2016 Pre-degree (Science) Supplementary Admission

The latest news reaching us on our news desk has it that 2015/2016 Supplementary Application Forms for admission into the Pre-degree Science Programme of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology is now available.

Admission Requirement
Candidate should possess at least SSCE, NECO GCE Ordinary Level or NABTEB in not more than two sittings, with a minimum of credit in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Chemistry. Any Candidate who does not satisfy the above requirement for admission needs not apply.

Duration of Programme
The programme is expected to run for six (6) calendar months with an intensive and compulsory ICT programme which will run concurrently with the regular lectures.

LAUTECH Notice on the Amendment of 2013/2014 Rain Semester Calendar

The management of LAUTECH having considered the recommendations from the Committee of Provost and Deans,
Senate at its meeting of Wednesday, January 7, 2015, decided that:

(i) The 2013/2014 Rain Semester Lectures which commenced from December 8, 2014 be continued till Wednesday, January 28, 2015;

(ii) The 2013/2014 Rain Semester Examinations be held from Thursday, January 29, 2015 to Tuesday, February 10, 2015; and

(iii) All students are to ensure that they complete their registration before the
commencement of the examinations.

LAUTECH Notice to 2015 NYSC Batch A Prospective Corp Members

This is inform all eligible graduates who may wish to participate in the 2015 NYSC Batch ‘A’ Service, to please come to the Student Affairs Unit (Room 210), Senate Building, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, between 9:00a.m and 2:00p.m.

The affected graduates are:
(i) those who had completed their programmes and their results have been approved by the Senate; and
