UI 2015/2016 Admission Letter For Newly Admitted Students

Current information reaching us has it that the management of the University of Ibadan wishes to inform all newly admitted students of the institution for the 2015/2016 academic session that their admission letters are now available.

UI 2015/2016 Direct Entry Admission Procedure/Guidelines Update

This  is to inform all concerned that the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, hereby requests all candidates who made the University their First Choice in the Direct Entry A dmissions for 2015/2016 to submit their biodata, ‘O' level and any of ‘A’ level, NCE, ND, HND, Degree or equivalent certificates ONLINE through http://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng on or before Friday, 16 October, 2015.

Instructions:-

A (i) Candidates are to pay N4, 000.00 (this excludes bank charges) into U.I. Admission Processing Fee Account at the University of Ibadan Micro-Finance Bank (Acct. No – 1050000027). Candidates are advised to keep their bank teller.

The teller should have full names of the candidate (SURNAME first) as indicated in the DE registration print-out preceded by the JAMB Registration number, as the payee.

Name and JAMB Registration Number should be quoted in the depositor's name at the point of payment (in the Bank). The following format could be adopted:

JAMB registration number/names e.g. 93145667FE/SHUAIB, AKANO, OLUKOYA

(ii) Consequent upon payment of the Processing Fee of N4,000.00 at the bank, candidates are expected to submit their Teller Numbers. This should be done by logging-in on: http://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng with the JAMB Registration Number.

(iii) Candidates are then expected to log-in onto http://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng to submit their biodata, ‘O' level results, and any of ‘A’ level, NCE, ND, HND, Degree or equivalent certificates.

(v) Candidates should ensure that the on-line forms are carefully filled, following ALL necessary instructions, as "mistake(s)" may lead to disqualification.

BREAKING: UI Awards Scholarship to Top 5 Candidates In The 2015 Post-UTME

The UI news reaching nigerianedu.com has it that University of Ibadan will be admitting 3,700 for the 2015/2016 academic session.

This was coming from the Vice-Chancellor of the University , Prof Isaac Adewole who was represented by the Deputy-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Emilolorun Ayelari while addressing newsmen after the conclusion of the University's Post-UTME screening exercise.

He noted that 5 candidates who came out tops in the screening exercise will be awarded scholarship by the institution.

Prof. Idowu Olayinka Is Now UI New Vice Chancellor

The information reaching us from UI has it that University of Ibadan (UI) has appointed Prof. Idowu Olayinka as the new Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC) academic for the period of two years in the first instance.

Prof. Olayinka’s appointment which followed the expiration of the immediate past DVC, Prof. Adigun Agbaje has been approved by the Chairman of Council, Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN.

We are to inform all prospective candidates for the Post-UTME screening exercise that the exercise will take place on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th September, 2015.

This is to inform you that the students of the University of Ibadan are protesting the death of their colleague who was said to have collapsed while watching champions league match between Barcelona FC and Bayern Munich FC.

The dead student who was identified as Mayowa Alaran, a 200 level student of the institution was said to be asthmatic.

We are to inform all the students of the University of Ibadan (UI) that the authorities of the institution have recently released the official academic calendar for the 2014/2015 academic session.

2014/2015 Medical Screening Procedure For University of Ibadan Update.

Newly admitted students of the University of Ibadan for the 2014/2015 Academic Session should note the procedures involved with the yearly students screening exercise and adhere strictly to them.

These include:
1. Download Student Medical Examination Form from the Internet and complete it.

2. Chest Xray with a Radiologist's report duly stamped and signed by a Radiologist MUST be done before the commencement of the screening exercise from the approved X-ray Centres.

3. Report at the approved Screening Centres for Screening and Registration with the completed medical examination form, Chest Xray with a radiologist's report.

B) COMMENCEMENT OF SCREENING STUDENTS MEDICAL SCREENING FOR THE 2014/2015 SESSION.

The 2014/2015 Students Medical Screening for the newly admitted students of the University of Ibadan will tentatively run from 23rd March 2015 and end 3rd of April 2015 from 9am to 2pm daily.

The new intakes are to have their Chest X-rays done at the APPROVED X-RAY CENTRES before the commencement of the screening exercise.

They are to report at the DESIGNATED VENUES for screening with their Chest X-rays and the Student Medical Examination Form which has been downloaded from the Internet.

UI- New Deputy Vice Chancellor Elect

The University of Ibadan has elected a new Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics), in the person of Prof. Gbemisola Oke of the Department of Periodontology and Community Dentistry, Faculty of Dentistry, College of Medicine.

This was contained in a statement by Mr Olatunji Oladejo, the Director of Public Communication of the great institution.

She is the 2nd female to occupy the position in the institution.

Prof Oke graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 1981 and bagged a Master of Public Health (MPH) from University of California, Los Angeles in 1985.
