This is to inform you that the students of the University of Ibadan are protesting the death of their
colleague who was said to have collapsed while watching champions league
match between Barcelona FC and Bayern Munich FC.
The dead student who was identified as Mayowa Alaran, a 200 level student of the institution was said to be asthmatic.
The protesting students are blaming the death of their colleague on the management of the school.
According to report, when the student collapsed he was quickly rushed to the University's Health Centre by other students however, the health attendants did not attend do the
student on time leading to his death.
The protesting students have blocked the Mokola-Oojo Road in the Oyo State capital. The tension created has enveloped the institution’s gate and environs while shop owners in Agbowo market have stayed off the area.
