Communication for admission into the Professional Diploma in Journalism
(PDJ) Programme offered by the Department of Mass Communication, Nnamdi
Azikiwe University, Awka.
Base on report reaching us the programme is aimed at equipping journalists, especially those who have practiced the profession or seven years without any formal qualification in Journalism or Mass Communication, with the theoretical knowledge to remedy their deficiency.
Entry Qualification
At least five O’ Level credits obtained in not more
than two sittings, including English Language.
Duration of Programme
The (PDJ) is a part-time programme that is expected to run for a minimum of three semesters of 18 calendar months.
Nature of Programme
The PDJ is a part-time programme in which practising Journalists will attend lectures two to three days in a week between 2.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m. to give them the freedom to attend to their daily professional assignments in the morning hours.
Take-Off of Programme
The programme has been approved to take off on Monday, 13th March, 2017
