available vacancies in some courses and Programmes in the part-time
studies Programme, the University Community and members of the public
are hereby notified that the sales and processing of admission forms for
the 2015/2016 Work and Study Programme (WASP) admission of Ebonyi State
University which had earlier expired on Friday 21st August, 2015 are
hereby reopened and extended.
Consequently, interested and qualified candidates desiring to
purchase the admission form for entry into the part-time programme for 2015/2016 academic year are invited to obtain the form and apply on-line.
For details of conditions and terms for the application, candidates are advised to refer to our earlier advertisement published in the Daily Sun of June 2015.
Duration of Courses/Length of Study:
Following a recent policy directive from the National Universities Commission (NUC), the durations of some courses or programmes offered by the University in its part-time Programme have been increased with effect from the 2015/2016 academic session.
The new course durations are as below:

A. GENERAL INFORMATION.
Work and Study Programme (WASP) is a weekend part-time studies programme of Ebonyi State University designed to offer opportunities to talented, intelligent and qualified working adults in various fields of life endeavours to acquire university education without having to give up their jobs.

C. GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Admission into the Work and Study Programme (WASP) requires (5) 0’/L Credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language at Ordinary Level (SSCE, NECO, GCE &TC II, NABTEB, etc) for ALL courses while credit pass in Mathematics at Ordinary level is compulsory for all Science, Social Sciences (except Mass Communication), Management Science and Agricultural and Natural Resources Management based courses. The 0/L credit passes are to be obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.
D. PROGRAMME PLAN
The programme offered in each department is the same as those of regular programme. The only difference is the mode of entrance, and mode of study. The length of time a candidate spends in the programme before graduation depends on the level of qualification upon entrance.
E. METHOD OF APPLICATION
Application forms are obtainable online on purchase of five thousand naira (N5000.00) only. EBSU-WASP scratch card payable to Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki Account Number 200-2776-770 with First Bank Plc, Abakaliki Branch.
New Closing Date.
The new closing date for the sale and processing of admission forms will now be Friday, 16th October, 2015.
The processing and release of admission list and registration of fresh students will commence on 25th September, 2015 and end on 20th October 2015.
F. ABOUT NYSC AND WASP GRADUANDS.
Graduates of WASP DO NOTparticipate in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), rather they are issued with Exclusion Certificate from NYSC at the end of their programme.
