2015 OAUTH Nursing Programme Application Forms Is Out

This is to inform you that applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the following Nursing programmes of the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ile-Ife:

BASIC GENERAL NURSING
POST BASIC GENERAL NURSING
PERI-OPERATIVE
POST BASIC MIDWIFERY

I. BASIC GENERAL NURSING

This is a three-year program commencing in October, 2015.

REQUIREMENT
Applicants is expected to possess the following: WAEC/SSCE/GCE or NECO, SSCE/GCE 5 Credits (at not more than two sittings) in English language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. He or She should be at least Seventeen (17) years old on admission.

Completed application form should be returned to the office of the Principal, Schools of Nursing, I.H.U. and W.G.H. respectively on or before 28th May, 2015.


DATE OF ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

Entrance examination shall be conducted by the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Nursing & Midwifery Committee on Saturday, 6th June, 2015.


II. POST BASIC GENERAL NURSING

REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must:-

possess WAEC,SSCE/GCE or NECO,SSCE/GCE – 5 Credits (at not more than two sittings) in English language, Mathematics and three Sciences i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

be a Registered Midwife or Psychiatric Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

have at least one year post registration working experience after the mandatory Community one year service (Midwives only).


TEST AND SELECTION INTERVIEW
Written Test 30th June, 2015
Oral Interview 2nd & 3rd July, 2015.

III. PERI-OPERATIVE NURSING

This is a Twelve (12) month program commencing in November, 2015

REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must:-
possess the WAEC,SSCE/GCE or NECO, SSCE/GCE with at least 5 Credits (at not more than two sittings) in English Language and at least one Science subject i.e. Physics, Chemistry or Biology for candidates who finished General Nursing before 2006.

possess English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology for Candidates who finished General Nursing from 2006.

be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

have at least one year post qualification experience.

TEST AND SELECTION INTERVIEW
Written Test 16th June, 2015
Oral Interview 17th - 19th July, 2015.

CLOSING DATE
Completed application form, duly endorsed by sponsors, together with photocopies of relevant credentials should be returned to office of the Coordinator, School of Perioperative Nursing latest by 5th June, 2015.

IV. POST BASIC MIDWIFERY

This is an Eighteen (18) Month program commencing, September, 2015

Applicants must:-
possess WAEC,SSCE/GCE or NECO,SSCE/GCE with 5 Credits (at not more than two-sittings) in English language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology).

be a Registered Nurse (RN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

Applicants awaiting the result of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria Examination may also apply but must present Registration Number from Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria at the interview.

TEST AND SELECTION INTERVIEW
Written Test 30th June, 2015
Oral Interview 1st & 2nd July, 2015.
