The Vice chancellor of the University of Ilorin Prof. AbdulGaniyu Ambali
during the matriculation ceremony disclosed that the institution
admitted only 12,650 students out of the 114,700 applicants.
He further stated that out of the 114,700 applicants only 41,470 met the
cut-off mark 180 in UTME to qualify for the post-Unified Tertiary
Matriculation Examination screening.
The number of successful students who passed the post-UTME according to
the VC was 22,601. While the number of students final admitted were
12,650 with 80 being international students.
