Kwara State University to Establish Centre for Nollywood Studies

The Vice Chancellor of Kwara state University, Prof. AbdulRasheed Na’ Allah recently announced that the institution has set up a committee that will ensure the establishment of a Centre for Nollywood Studies at the University.

He made this known on Monday during a Conference organized by the university, with the theme: “African Cinema and the Supernatural”.


According to him, the Centre would have the responsibility of emphasizing the impact of Nollywood films in the society and also redefine the progress made by the nation in terms of arts and culture.
