JABU Produces 19 First Class as 1,044 Graduates

The Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU), during its 5th Convocation ceremony held recently graduated 1,044 students. 19 students came out with First Class Degree. Among the 19 students is Emmanuel Adebisi of the Computer Science Department who emerged the best graduating student with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.85.

It was further revealed that 279 students graduated with Second Class upper; 614, Second Class lower; while 126 had third class.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof Sola Fajana, while speaking during the ceremony said that all courses offered by the institution are accredited.


“The University has continued to advance in all frontiers of learning. The visit of the National University Commission (NUC) Resource Verification Team to the proposed Law, Public Administration and International Relations Programmes last February, led to the approval of Law Programme for the university,” he said.

He charged the 1,044 graduands to create positive things and be good ambassadors of the university.
