[Article] Between Successful and Unsuccessful Students
Success and failure are two distinct things that can never be joined together. Nobody can be the two at the same time, it is either you succeed or fail in whatever you do.
It is pertinent to note that the primary reason every student is in school is to succeed in his/her various field of studies, but yet some students design their path to failure themselves.
Just as the common saying goes, “man proposes but God disposes,” everyone works toward his/her destiny and God Almighty helps those who help themselves.
Many students feel too inferior in the midst of their colleagues and always believe they can’t be as good as their colleagues. This is the first problem unsuccessful students’ face.
Successful students are never pessimistic, they are optimists. They always see opportunity in everything they do.  Nobody wants to be a failure, or wants to be addressed as one, but the truth of the matter is that many students are failures.

They are failures because they never work hard to attain success in their field of studies. Many don’t even come to classes regularly. They only attend classes if they hear of test or examination.
Another difference between successful and unsuccessful students is procrastination. Procrastination is the thief of time and opportunities are buried in the grave of procrastination.
Many students are unsuccessful because they procrastinate. They always feel too relaxed, thinking they have enough time to read or study, but at the end, it will be too late to realise that there is no time.
Therefore, anything facing us is not as important as our attitude towards it. I believe that like success, failure is a choice. Where we are today doesn’t matter anymore than where we want to be tomorrow. Every student should believe in themselves, work hard, pray and do something extra for his/her success.
