It was gathered that due to the in-completion of the on-going process of
renovation in the University of Abuja the Vice Chancellor is proposing
the postponement of resumption.
This however has been met with opposition from the President of the Student Union Government.
According to him, the university over the years have critically suffered
academic programme duration elongated and instability due to several
inglorious factors which has turn a 4 year course to 6 years course in
the university.
He further stated that said the university was initially supposed to
re-open on the 13th of October, but was later postpone to 27th of
October. He made it clear to the VC that the entire student of
university of Abuja stands to reject in its entirety any mechanical
action that will bring about the postponement from 27th of October.
Meanwhile the Vice Chancellor has called a meeting involving all the
stakeholders. The outcome of the meeting will be the determinant on the
final resumption date.
