LASU Strike: Students Asked to go Home

The students of Lagos State University LASU have been told by the management to go home following the indefinite strike action embarked by the Academic Staff Union of Universities LASU chapter.

According to the university’s spokesperson, Kayode Sutton, this directive became necessary as a safety measure to avert any unfortunate incident on campus since academic activities are not in progress.


It will be recalled that the union embarked on strike to agitate government’s unwillingness to meet the demands of the lecturers majorly the student’s tuition hike and the retirement age of professors.
