‘Our Vision Is To Provide Balanced Education’

The Crescent University, Abeokuta, Ogun State has admitted no fewer than 700 students.

They are to study various degree programmes on full and part-time basis as regulated by the National Universities Commission.

The university Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kehinde Okeleye, urged the students to be of good behaviour.

He said, “You are lucky to have been admitted and be able to take up the admission offer because 1.2 million candidates sat for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination that qualified you, in the first instance, for the post-UTME screening exercise.

Okeleye said that the students’ population had been enhanced by “benefactors, especially by the governments of Kano, Zamfara, Sokoto and Lagos, which have sponsored some of
the students on scholarship.”

The proprietor of the school, Prince Bola Ajibola, referred to the fresh students as “our pride, our vision, our mission”, noting, “The creation of this university is faith-motivated to bring about balance in the field of education – rather than financial benefits.”
