House of Reps Orders JAMB To Revert To Paper-Pencil Test

Latest news trending now has it that the agitations from candidates may have started yielding fruits as the House of Representatives has asked the Federal Ministry of Education to direct the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to revert to pencil-paper method in the conduct of UTME or adopt both PPT and CBT so that candidates can opt for any one of their choice.

This followed a motion moved by a lawmaker from Lagos State, Mr. Oghene Emma-Egoh, on the “conflicting” scores of candidates who took the examination.

See UNILAG Student Graduates With A CGPA OF 5.0

The latest news reaching us has it that the upcoming 2014/2015 convocation ceremony of the University of Lagos will saw Daniel Dada Ayodele, from the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences, emerge a graduate with a CGPA of 5.00.

This was revealed by the Vice Chancellor, Prof Rahamon Bello during a pre-convocation briefing.

According to the Vice Chancellor, graduating with a CGPA of 5.00 means that he scored As in all courses he took in the programme.

JAMB CBT: Protest Over Closure Of Registration Portal - JAMB Reacts

The latest trending news reaching has it that things are no longer funny as the Joint Admission And Matriculation Board has stated that the protest by some prospective UTME candidates is uncalled for due to the fact that the board gave an ample opportunity and time (August, 2015 - February, 2016) for every interested candidate to be registered.

The 2016 Examination To Begin February 29th - JAMB

Latest news reaching us from www.mynationnews.com has it that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has disclosed that the 2016 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination will begin on February 29.

It was disclosed by the JAMB’s Head of Public Relations, Dr. Fabian Benjamin.

The examination which will last for one week will have one million candidates participating. About 500 Internet-complaint centres will be used for the Computer-based Test in the country while seven others will be used outside the country.

ESUT 2015/2016 1st Semester Examination Date Update

JAMB Closes 2016 Registration



Now Finally, JAMB has officially closed Registration for the 2016 UTME as all roads now lead to the exams.

Though the exam was initially announced to begin on 29th Feb, 2016, we believe this date would be moved to sometime in March, thanks to all the earlier postponements.

South-East Tops Chart Again As WAEC May/June 2015 Performance Statistics Unfolds

The latest WAEC news trending now has it that the performance statistics of candidates that participated in the 2015 May/June WASSCE Organised by WAEC was made available yesterday.

Base on the information at hand, south-east has emerged tops in the performance chart of candidates who obtained credits in at least five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics as Abia State topped the chart with 33,762 of its 52,801 candidates getting five credits and above. Anambra State came second with 28, 379 out of 46, 385 candidates. While Abia State scored 63.94 per cent, Anambra got 61.18 per cent out of 100 per cent.
