2014/2015 AAU 2nd Semester Examination Update

We are to inform all concerned that Ambrose Alli university has set the date for the commencement of 2nd semester 2014/2015 examination.

The examination is expected to commence August 28th, 2015 and ends September 17th, 2015.

AAU Hosts Nigerian Law Students’ Competition 2014

The Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma will host the 10th edition of the Client Counselling Competition among Nigerian law students.

This was made known by the AAU Organizing Committee Chairman, Mr Emmanuel Akhigbe.

According to him, it will be a three-day
programme which will hold between December 4th and
December 7th, 2014.

He said the competition was aimed at promoting knowledge and interest among law students to develop interviewing, planning, analytical and preventive skills in their relationship with

AAU Deadline For The Processing Of Admissions by 2014/2015 Freshers

This is to inform all admitted candidates that the processing of admissions for 2014/2015 academic session, which commenced on Monday, 8th September 2014, will end tomorrow Friday, 28th November 2014.

Freshers are to resume 30th November 2014 while 15th December 2014 has been scheduled for orientation for all fresh students of Ambrose Alli University 2014/2015 academic session.

AAU Part-time Programme Application 2014/2015 Announced

The Ambrose Ali University (AAU), Ekpoma invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Part-Time Degree Programmes for the 2014/2015 academic session.

The following degree programmes are available at the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma as approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

B.Sc. Accounting.
B.Sc. Banking and Finance.
B.Sc. Business Administration.
B.Sc. Computer Science.
B.Sc. Economics.
B.A. English.
B.Sc. Public Administration.

Admission Requirements Into The Part-Time Undergraduate Degree Programmes

FACULTY OF ARTS
(a) B.A. English.

Admission Requirements
Candidates seeking admission into the Department of English are expected to possess SSCE/NECO/GCE (O/L) NABTEB at not more than two sittings with 5 credit passes in following subjects: English Language, Literature in English and any other three Arts, or Social Science subjects.

FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCES
(a) B.Sc Accounting.
(b) B.Sc Banking and Finance.
(c) B.Sc Business Administration.
(d) B.Sc Public Administration.

Admission Requirements
(i) Candidates seeking admission into the Faculty of Management Sciences are required to possess SSCE/NECO/GCE (O/L) NABTEB at not more than two sittings with 5 credit passes in following subjects: Mathematics, English, Economics and any other two Social Science Subject from Commence, Geography,Accounting etc.

(ii) Candidates seeking admission into Public Administration in addition must have credit pass in Government.

FACULTY OF NATURAL SCIENCES
(a) B.Sc Computer Science.

Admission Requirements
Candidates seeking admission into the Faculty of Natural Sciences are required to possess SSCE/NECO/GCE (O/L) NABTEB at not more than two sittings with 5 credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any other two from Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Economics.

FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES
(a) B.Sc Economics

Admission Requirement
(i) Candidates seeking admission into the Faculty of Social Sciences are expected to possess SSCE/NECO/GCE O/L in not more than two sittings with 5 credit passes in the following: English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any 2 other Social Science subjects.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

(a) FIVE YEARS DEGREE PROGRAMMES
(i) Candidates should possess SSCE/ WASC/ ASC/ NECO/ GCE/ TCII etc with 5 credit passes at not more than two sittings, including English Language and other Departmental and Faculty Requirements.
(ii) Candidates are expected to write an entrance examination before they could be considered for admission.

(b) DIRECT ENTRY: FOUR YEARS DEGREE PROGRAMMES
For Direct Entry admission, candidates are expected to possess at least two (2) A/Level papers, NCE, or equivalent (at acceptable level) Diploma Certificate (at not less than Merit Grade) in related areas plus SSCE/NCEO/GCE (O/L) etc at not more than two sittings with 5 credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and other Departmental Requirements.

DURATION
(i) FIVE YEARS
Candidates with SSCE/NECO/GCE (O/L) seeking admission into any programmes will spend five years.

(d) GENERAL INFORMATION
(a) Please note that all candidates with O/L results preceding 2011 must present the originals of their certificates and not statement of results slips.
(b) All completed application forms should be accompanied with the following:
– Passport size photograph
– Photocopies of credentials.
– Photocopy of receipt of purchase of application form.

NOTE: No case of awaiting results shall be entertained

Candidates are to visit the University’s website https://aaue.waeup.org/applicants for application instructions before the purchase of the Part-Time Degree Programmes eTranzactPIN of N16,250.00 (Sixteen thousand, two hundred and fifty Naira) only from any of the under listed Banks Nationwide.

AAU Deadline on Payment of Fees for 2014/2015 Newly Admitted Students

This is to inform all new students that the deadline date for you to pay all your fees, that is, the acceptance fee, tuition fee, and concessional fee has been fixed for 28th of this month(November 2014) this is according to the school bulletin released today and pasted on the school's notice board.

Failure to comply attracts a late payment fee of N5000.( That's after 28th Nov).
And your admission could be withdrawn.

‪‎NOTE‬
CONCESSIONAL FEE is only for those who had their ORIGINAL COURSE OF STUDY CHANGED(to another course).

NEW STUDENTS are to proceed to paying all their fees once they have been cleared.

You are to change your bank tellers to receipt at your various faculties.

After that, NEW students are to submit their FILES which contains;

batch admission list of candidates offered provisional admission into the various 1st degree programmes
offered by the university for the 2014/2015 academic session is out.

Prospective candidates of the Ambrose Alli University that participated in the institution’s 2014/2015 post- UTME screening exercise but don’t have
their names included in the first batch and second batch can now check their admission status from the recently released 3rd batch.

AAU Foundation Programme Application 2014/2015 Announced

The Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma Has announced application into its foundation programmes for the 2014/2015 academic session.

The Directorate of Foundation runs a two semester programme aimed at preparing candidates who could not gain admission into the University through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), but possess the minimum entry requirements, for admission into 100 Level in their respective courses.

The available degree options currently offered through the programme and with the entry requirements are as stated below:

1. FOUNDATION PROGRAMME IN AGRICULTURE:
The Foundation Programme in Agriculture prepares candidates for entry into any of the following degree options. Agricultural Economics, Animal Science, Crop Science and Soil Science.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must possess at least, five (5) credit passes in the WASC/GCE O’ Level/SSCE/NECO or NABTEB in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Agricultural Science or Biology at not more than two sittings. A pass in Physics is acceptable for candidates with credit in Chemistry.

2. FOUNDATION PROGRAMME IN NATURAL SCIENCES
The Foundation Programme in the Science prepares candidates for entry into any of the following degree options: Biochemistry, Botany, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Microbiology and Zoology.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must possess at least, five (5) credits including a credit in English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sittings in the WASC/GCE O’ Level/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB provided that at least three (3) of the credits are in relevant Science subjects. A credit pass in Physics may not be mandatory for Departments of Botany, Zoology and Statistics.

3. FOUNDATION PROGRAMME BASIC MEDICAL SCIENCES

AAU Ekpoma Appoint Prof.Mrs Cordellia Agbebaku As New VC

Delay they say is not Denial...

The Acting Vice Chancellor Prof.Mrs Cordellia Agbebaku was today CONFIRMED the Vice Chancellor Ambrose Alli University after acting for about 3years.

She is now to serve the entire staff and students of AAU for the next 5years.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Storm AAU, Ekpoma to Commission Auditorium

 
It was a sight to behold when Pastor Chris and pastor Tom Oyakhilome stormed the Ambrose Alli University to open the newly established 650 capacity auditorium the Pastor had built for the institution.

The event had the presence of the Edo State Governor, Commrade Adams Oshomole as a special guest, the governor thanked pastor Chris and the entire Loveworld partners for their support. He said other people should emulate this good work as it will help in nation building.

Ex-AAU Registrar’s Wife Commits Suicide

The University town of Ekpoma, in Edo State was thrown into mourning yesterday, when the wife of the former registrar of the Ambrose Alli University, Mrs. Kate Edokpayi, was found dead after committing suicide.

Her dangling body was discovered by her husband, Mr. Larry Edokpayi, in one of the rooms in their boy’s quarters.

Although she did not leave any suicide note, it was, however, learnt that she might have been frustrated over her health challenges.

It was gathered that she had repeatedly expressed frustration over her inability to get cure for her diabetic condition.

Information gathered was that the husband, who recently retired from the service of the university, had suspected kidnapping after a long search before he was advised to check the boy’s quarters.

On getting to the quarters, he was said to have observed that the door was bolted from behind and forced it open. He was shocked to see the dangling body of his wife at the ceiling.

AAU to resume January 6th 2014


All students of Ambrose Alli University are hearby informed that academic activities will resume on January 6th 2014.

Examinations are scheduled to begin by February 2014.

The new session will commence from March 3rd 2014. This therefore implies that new students will begin full academic activity by march 3rd 2013.
