It was learnt that students of the Lagos State University (LASU) despite
the call by the management to resume academic activities have refused
to turn up for lectures.
According to the SUG president, Nurudeen Temitope the students have
resumed as directed by the management but that does not mean that
lectures and other academic activities will commence immediately.
He stated that the reduction in fees by the stated government is still
not acceptable by the students as some of the students will still be
paying as much as over N150, 000.
He called on the state government to agree to the 60% reduction in all
the faculties in the institution as the students have initially
demanded.
