Adekunle Ajasin Univerasity, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), Ondo State has been
ranked as the best state owned university in Nigeria by the Transparency
International Standards (USTIS) based in the United States.
Prior to this, the university took the first position in the annual
youth debate for tertiary institutions held last year which was
organised by the Federal Ministry of Education.
The NUC also in 2005 voted the university as the best state university in terms of quality academic staff.
However, the university began its major landmark under the leadership of
the incumbent Vice Chancellor, Professor Femi Mimiko, who has piloted
the affairs of the institution since 2010.
Reacting to this development Prof. Mimiko gave appreciation to God and
all those that worked with him to put the university on the world map.
